Before I acknowledged I used to be having twins, before my pregnancy had even been confirmed via ultrasound, I calculated a roughly estimated maturity in my head and realized that I might flow from in September, one among the most well-liked months of the year here in Georgia.

When I later acknowledged that not one but two babies were on the way, I felt a small tremor of fear wash over me. The summer is not any joke here within the south. And if things went well, I might be the term with twins right within the middle of it.

I won’t lie: things weren’t pretty by that trimester. By September I used to be a waddling, swollen, perpetually perspiring blob.

My varicose veins were so bad that I had to wear compression stockings, but my feet were so swollen and hot that I had to chop the feet out of the stockings. I’m sure that looked super cool under my sundresses and shorts.

And by a previous couple of weeks of my pregnancy I had exactly one item in my wardrobe that covered my belly: a sundress that was not cute, it had been exhausted. I had asked that dress to try to things on behalf of me that it had been never intended to try to to.
